The Nigerian Premier League Winners , Kano Pillars are yet to receive their prize money for emerging winner of the 2012 campaign. This is a sorry case for Football in Nigeria.
Media Officer of Kano Pillars Club - it is not good that after a hectic season, the club will not get anything form the organizers of the League.
"We really cannot understand why the Nigeria Premier League will just give us the trophy and medal and nobody from the board will say anything to us about the prize money.
"Nobody can tell me that there is no money to give to the winners of the League trophy. If at the end of the season there is nothing to show for the efforts of the club that wins the trophy, then there is nothing to play for.
