Sad news... Lady Gaga has had to postpone ALL the dates on her Born This Way Ball tour as she’s unable to walk.
The devastated star has been struck down with synovitis, a severe inflammation of the joints. Ouch.
The singer’s tour was thrown into chaos yesterday after four dates in three North American cities were postponed.
Today
Live Nation Global Touring said the pop star had a tear in her right
hip that needs surgery, followed by weeks of recovery.
Gaga, who often wears towering footwear, took to Twitter on Tuesday to reveal her illness.
“I’m so sorry,” she said. “I barely know what to say. I’ve been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for some time. I’ve been praying it would heal.”
An emotional Gaga, 26, who also suffers from lupus – an
autoimmune condition which causes fatigue, joint pain and rashes –
revealed that she’s been keeping her synovitis under wraps.
“I hid
it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my fans. However after
last night’s performance I could not walk and still can’t.”
Confirming
that shows in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Ontario, had been axed,
she added: “I hope you can forgive me. I’m devastated & sad.”
21
dates until March 20 were remaining on her Born This Way Ball tour
schedule. Fans who have already bought tickets will receive a refund.

Gaga had clocked up 98 gigs on the 116-date tour but after her February 11 show in Montreal, the pain became too much.
3am’s on-call medic Dr Ben Witt explains: “Synovitis can cause intense pain so Gaga will need rest and anti-inflammatory pills.
"It may take six weeks to recover and if it’s a severe case, she may even need surgery to remove the inflamed membrane.”
Get well soon, Gaga. No one else can pull off a meat dress like you.
