A young boy whose parents were murdered during "2002 riots" in Kaduna. This boy was 11 years oldwhen the sad incidence took place. His parents; Mr Austine and Mrs Josephine Moses were missionaries until their untimely death on the street of Kaduna, what a sad end! The boy left his house to play ball only to return home and see that all his parents had laboured for have been razeddown and he would never have the opportunity to see his father and mother again.
The boy was taken to London by his uncle almost immediately afterthe incidence. while in london, he began deploying his talents in football. Though his parents were killed, his passion for football was never killed. He played football for his school and later for a local Tandrige League. Crystal Palace football club later approached himand from that point his career never remained the same again. This player played for England's under 16, 17, 19 and 21 between 2005 and 2010. He had 11 goals to his credit while in England. He has played for Wigan Athletic and now he plays for Chelsea. This footballer is called VICTOR MOSES, he is arguably Nigeria's best player at the ingoing African Nations' Cup in South Africa.

His story is a touching one, I sharehis pains. I also commend his courage. He has every right and opportunity not to step into Nigeria again, but he never did that. When the call to serve his fatherland came, Moses dumped England and embraced Nigeria... That is patriotism! Today we see aVictor Moses bringing joy to everyNigerian including those who mayhave inspired his parents' death... That is Love! Today, Moses would stand for the National anthem andpledge allegiance to a country thatcouldn't defend and protect his parents.... That is faith. In the ongoing nation's cup tournament,Moses has practically dragged Nigeria into the final for the first in more than a decade...That is Forgiveness!
Today Moses rose above bitterness and despair to the limelight of hope and courage. He never gave up on his country, he persevered... That is purpose! If someone like Victor Moses despitethe bitter past, never gave up in Nigeria. I have no right to stop believing and being loyal to this country. You can make the same decision too!
