President Obama Says Marijuana is Better Than Alcohol

Nigerian Company Pays Clinton N100m To Speak




      Just to speak at an event in Lagos, southwest Nigeria, a Nigerian company paid the former American President, Bill Clinton, $700,000 (over N100 million), the New York Times disclosed on Thursday.
      The New York Times did not disclose the name of the company which handed Clinton the huge sum of money.

Fraudsters set up Jonathan/Sambo foundation, dupe over 100



    The Lagos State Police Command is investigating a case of fraud perpetrated by six men, who defrauded hundreds of people in Ketu area of the state.
According to police authorities, the suspects, Dr. Chris Ajakaiye, Atanda Johnson, Morenike Folarin, Ademola Atanda, Soledayo Akinnubunmi and John Ajagbe, set up a foundation at 15 Oluwalogbon Street, Ikosi, known as Goodluck/Sambo Foundation.

Gunmen kill 3 policemen, 2 others in Jigawa



      The incident where the deputy governor was stopped from assessing the former IG’s home occurred when he led the delegation for an assessment tour on the level of damage done during the Sunday attack.
The delegation went round the affected places to see things for itself but was halted by one of the ex-IG’s  house boys.
The unnamed house boy told the acting governor that he was instructed by his boss not to allow any government official  gain access to his home because it wasn’t a government building and that no journalist would be allowed to take any photograph.

Bomb Factory Discovered in Politician's House

  
      Soldiers from One division of the Nigerian Army on Tuesday discovered a bomb making factory at a house located at Sabon Birni Road Kawo in Kaduna North local government area of Kaduna state, following a tip off from some members of the public. The building is located few meters from the one Div army headquarters.

Third Mainland Bridge - A Disaster

    The Senate President, David Mark, has warned that the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge would be a major national disaster if allowed to collapse
This is as the Senate will today debate a motion on the imminent collapse on the bridge which the Senator described as an important edifice noting that its collapse will be a major catastrophe, as many lives may be lost.
       The third Mainland Bridge measured 11.8km and connected the Mainland to 
Lagos Island. The bridge is a major escape route from traffic snarl on Western Avenueto the Island and was commissioned by former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, in 1990.

POLITICAL IMPERSONATION: EFCC set to arraign ex-Kogi Senatorial Candidate.



       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to arraign a former Kogi Central Senatorial candidate, Alhaji Abdulazeez Bello, on offences bothering on impersonation and forgery. Bello , 49, was arrested recently by operatives of the State Security Services (SSS) at the Sheraton Hotels & Towers, Lagos , for impersonating the Director of Operations of the EFCC, Mr. Olaolu Adegbite.

         The EFCC made this known today in a Press Statement from the office of the Head, Media and Publicity of the commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren.
